NAPLES: PAINTINGS FOR CAPODIMONTE MUSEUM STOLEN

(AGI) - Naples, Italy, June 24 - Four paintings to be delivered to the
Capodimonte Museum were stolen from the van transporting them. The
paintings, of the Marzotts Gallery in Milan, were on a Yorkfine Transport
van, whose driver, after delivering some paintings in Rome, reached Naples
yesterday night, and spent the night at a hotel in Fuorigrotta. This
morning, he went to the van and found out it had been opened, and the
paintings stolen. The value and the type of works stolen are still unknown,
though the former is probably high, according to the Police. (AGI) .
