06 March 2005 20:31
Detectives investigating a £20,000 burglary in the Long Stratton area have
renewed their appeal for information.
Two rare Meissen vases, a Rolex watch, and items of silver and gold
including two silver salvers inscribed with the name Robert Welsh, were
stolen from a property in Low Road, Forncett St Mary.
The break-in happened on Friday February 25 and a black holdall from the
house was used to cart away the loot.
Police spokesman Kristina Raines said: "Officers are keen to speak to anyone
who may have seen a suspicious individual in the village on the day of the
burglary.
"They would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have noticed an
unfamiliar vehicle parked in the village hall car park between 6pm and
8.30pm that day."
