Helena police are seeking information about the theft of a bronze fish from
an exhibit at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Trail at the Great Northern
over the weekend.

In addition, Helena Police Chief Troy McGee said, two other fish were broken
from their moorings and dumped in the pond at the site.

The piece of art, that depicts Lewis and Clark's arrival at the Great Falls,
serves as a focal point for the attraction.

According to McGee, the missing fish is between 8-and-10-inches in length,
and has the artist's name - Eric Thorsen - engraved in the back, along with
the year the fish was crafted - 1998.

The missing fish is valued at $1,000.

McGee said it is estimated to cost a total of $600 to put the two fish that
were broken back in their positions on the sculpture.

If you have any information about this crime, call Crimestoppers at
443-2000.
